Now it is time for horses

i have been at whitehorse for over 10 years now! WOW! let me tell the story of how i joined by accident

i racked up a year of playtime in FFXIV so I decided it was time i looked up local community bands in my area. and it said "Box Hill City Band(: " "Our concert band rehearses on Tuesday Night at 7:30 PM"

I was like OK sweet. That's on my bus route. So I go down there to see what they're like. Im kinda early and i think, "That's like way too many cornets for a symphonic band and why are they on stage left?" Oh well I don't judge. The conductor Broden comes up to me and says hi, I assume I am looking very lost.
He asks "Are you here to join?"
I say "Yeah!. I play bassoon. Clarinet too"

We share an awkard silence then he explains that actually. This is a brass band. And im like ohhh... everything makes sense now . Then he says i can stay and listen if i like. I brought a book so im like ok (:

Back then the website looked like this one but smaller and with no horses.
(actually, it wasn't that bad, but the information simply wasn't Verified™ like it is here on my website.)

Hearing everyone warm up on mouth pieces was really funny. I hadn't really heard more than 1 person buzzing at once before, and if you haven't, trust me it's really funny

Then when they were playing Dark Side of the Moon. Lauren asks me "Hey, you can read music, right? Can you hit this cymbal for us?" They didn't have any percussionists at the time. So they were pretty happy about this. They ask me to come back next week(:

I don't play percussion anymore, nowadays I'm on baritone. I like tuba too but it's very hard on my shoulder.
